First, we would like to give you a little background on the idea and purpose of this site. It all started because we got sick and tired of sitting around for an hour before our weekly grocery store visit; picking the menu for the week, going through recipes, and then having to put together a list. It made going to the grocery store a royal pain! Are you aware that someone who goes to the grocery store with a list spends 50% less than someone who goes without one? Let's put it this way, we found ourselves spending either way too much money, not to mention forgetting ingredients, or avoiding the store and going out to eat all week which turned out to be both unhealthy and expensive!

We thought about it and believe that we came up with a fun, user friendly, and most importantly time and money saving solution for this little problem of ours. A website you can create and find recipes on that are saved in a database with a personalized calendar option. You can get on here whenever you would like and update your menu whether it is weekly, every two weeks, monthly, etc. All you have to do is click on the recipe you would like for the day and drag it to the calendar. It will automatically populate the grocery list which then just needs to be printed and off to the store you go!

When we first got the idea, we just thought about it as a tool to make your grocery list. However, we decided that we can and should make this a social network where users can interact, chose to share recipes with friends (or everyone on the website), rate recipes, and comment on them. Of course, we have more ideas to come but in order to incorporate these we need to start getting some friends and recipes on here. We ask that you give this a try and give us ANY feedback, ideas, and suggestions that you may have. We would also love it if you could pass this on to friends, as they say the more the merrier! In turn, we will continue to make changes and keep you posted!
